July 21, 2023A Visit to Peggy'sPeggy Moores in Sunday's Gate is one of Drogheda's oldest public houses, which in recent years has been acquired by the McGowan family, who also own the fabulous Scholar's Townhouse nearby. On acquiring Peggy's the McGowan's unearthed a treasure trove of goods and artifacts that adorn the premises today. Indeed its a museum to times past and with this in mind Gerry Kelly paid a visit and enjoyed a tour of the place in the company of Glen McGowan and his dad Martin. It also became apparent that Peggy Moores today combines the old with the new.
