Winners have been made public from the 3-on-3 basketball tournament conducted at Pipestone Area Schools on Saturday, Aug. 9. Fifteen teams participated in all, said tournament organizer Chris Gorter. Tarheels won the 18-plus men’s division, a team with Falcon Abers, Jonnie Gorter, T.J. Shellman and Choike Mannie. Gorter is a Pipestone resident. The Triplets took the 14-18 boys title, a threesome composed of Chas Shumaker, Henry Voight and Oliver Voight. In the seventh/eighth-grade division, Swish Squad took the title.
