Germán Cabrero is a Golf Performance Coach at Seattle Golf Fitness on Mercer Island. He has worked with First Tee since 2021, providing coaching for advanced players, and has been my trainer since October 2022 - twice per week at 6:00am. These workouts and German's expertise have helped me with my overall strength and mobility, which I give credit for better golf and health, and even helped me be ready to summit Mount Rainier in May!

Germán is originally from Spain and started to play golf when he was a teenager. He started his degree in Madrid and then he transferred to Oklahoma Baptist University where he studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science.

While at OBU, Germán played on the Men’s Golf Team. After he graduated in 2016, he began working as a golf instructor and also as a gym manager for a big chain of gyms in Spain, where he helped clients to reach their physical goals. Germán chose to completely dedicate himself to Golf Fitness and emigrated to Seattle with his wife in 2021. 

Since the recording of this podcast, German has relocated to Vancouver, BC, where he will help Seattle Golf Fitness open a second gym! The team of trainers at Seattle Golf Fitness on Mercer Island is amazing, and I highly recommend checking them out.

Austin Picinich is an entrepreneur and an artist, and he's only 18 years old.  Of course his most prized artwork is the cover for this podcast, but he has some other works in his portfolio too...

Austin joined First Tee at age 7, and has participated every year since, elevating to the Ace level, staff coach, and Director of Marketing for the Junior Advisory Board. He attended the national First Tee Innovator's Forum in 2021 and received a $10,000 grant to pursue his passion of community-based artwork. Outside of First Tee, he started his own business (Austin's Awesome Art) and his artwork can be found in shops, businesses, and outdoor murals throughout Seattle and the Eastside.

Since the recording of this podcast, Austin has been awarded Valedictorian of his graduating class in the running start program at Cascadia College, and was accepted to the University of Washington's Foster School of Business. Austin is a real Game Changer.
