Northwestern had its Senior Night spoiled yesterday as Penn State came in and lit the Wildcats up from three. Northwestern failed to separate from the Nittany Lions and let them hang around. The Wildcats had opportunities late but failed to convert. Overtime was more of the same as every time Northwestern got any momentum, Penn State hit huge shot to respond. Coming off a tough Illinois loss, Northwestern looked to bounce back at Maryland. The first half was a clinic of two teams hitting shots and operating well offensively. Coming in with a five-game winning streak, Northwestern got off to a very quick start thanks to Boo Buie's best performance of the season.
