The conversation around QB Keelon Russell has taken a major turn coming out of Alabama’s Spring game, and we dive into why he now appears to be emerging as the frontrunner for the Crimson Tide’s starting quarterback job. After a highly anticipated battle with Austin Mack, Russell used the A-Day spring game as his statement moment—showcasing poise, explosiveness, and the kind of command that Alabama fans have been waiting to see.

On today's show, Chris Gordy and Luke Robinson break down what stood out most from Russell’s spring showing. They discuss his quick decision-making, accuracy, and natural leadership—traits that seemed to separate him in a competition that head coach Kalen DeBoer has emphasized will be decided strictly on performance.

Beyond just the quarterback battle, they also discuss what this means for Alabama’s 2026 outlook. Gordy and Robinson examine how Russell’s emergence could impact a challenging schedule and whether his upside can elevate the Crimson Tide back into championship contention.

Also, we discuss the 6 SEC Spring events happening this weekend, along with formats this weekend for Texas and Auburn. Also, LSU loses another defensive player for the season.
