The Dallas Stars have made their final roster cuts in preparation for their season opener against the Nashville Predators. Logan Stankoven has gone back to play for the Kamloops Blazers while Riley Damiani, Thomas Harley, Will Butcher and Anton Khudobin have been loaned to the Texas Stars. Today Dane predicts what the opening night lineup could look like now that we know which players will be available. We talk about the four forward lines as well as the three defensive duos. The Dallas Stars fell the the Colorado Avalanche in their fifth preseason game of 2022. Denis Gurianov tried to get on the scoreboard with a goal but the team fell short despite his efforts. Denis has fallen under the radar this preseason, but he has a VERY big season ahead of him. He will be an RFA this summer, and we will see how he bounces back from an inconsistent season in ’21-’22. We also take a look at the Stars special teams and try to figure out why the Stars can’t score despite getting a plethora of scoring chances. The Dallas Stars played in their fourth preseason game on Saturday night. They travelled to Kansas City, Missouri for a date with the St. Louis Blues. The Dallas offense was firing on all cylinders as they posted five goals. The team was led by Mason Marchment (1 goal 1 assist) and Will Butcher (3 assists). Colin Miller also had a nice night as he continues to push for an NHL roster spot with the Stars. We discuss the Stars recent waiver moves and talk about the incoming cuts that will be made this week as start to get a better view of the opening night roster. To close we preview tonight’s exhibition matchup between the Stars and Colorado Avalanche.

The Dallas Stars played in their third Preseason game last night against the Minnesota Wild. On the surface there may not be much you can take away from a 5-2 loss, but there were some good things that happened in the game. Ty Dellandrea and Nils Lundkvist both scored very nice goals that should encourage the Stars fanbase. Unfortunately, Dellandrea left the game early with a broken finger that will prevent him from playing for a couple of weeks. In fact, we saw a handful of Stars players get banged up in a game that had zero significance. We talk about that as well as the Stars inconsistent play in their defensive zone. To close we talk about Jason Robertson and why we should maybe start to get nervous about where he will play this season.
