Sun Devils recruiting hits summer slowdown — and Big 12 rivals are taking advantage. Is Arizona State football falling behind in the 2026 recruiting race? Host Richie Bradshaw breaks down the current state of ASU’s recruiting class, including a quieter stretch over the summer as schools like BYU and Texas Tech land 5-star talent. Richie compares the Sun Devils’ recruiting progress to other Big 12 programs, asking whether ASU is losing ground or simply staying selective with fewer remaining targets. In this episode, Richie revisits Arizona State’s "no visits after commitment" policy, questioning whether it still holds up in the modern NIL era, especially after recent high-profile decommitments. He defends the logic behind the policy but also suggests areas where the coaching staff may need to be more flexible to keep pace. Despite the slowdown, ASU could be poised for a spark: 3-star athlete Landen Miree is trending toward a commitment, which would be a big win for the 2026 class. Plus, Richie highlights the importance of peer recruiters like Jake Fette and Hayden Vercher, and how ASU can leverage NIL opportunities to stay competitive on the trail. If Arizona State football wants to maintain its Big 12 momentum, the time to adjust — or double down — might be now.

The hosts of the Locked On Podcast Network, representing all 16 Big 12 football programs, have cast their preseason votes — and the results are anything but unanimous. Arizona State football earned several first-place votes, but not enough to be the clear No. 1 heading into the 2024 Big 12 season. In this episode of Locked On Sun Devils, host Richie Bradshaw breaks down the official Big 12 preseason power rankings as voted on by Locked On's experts — and why ASU's reigning Big 12 champion status wasn’t enough to sway all voters. Bradshaw spotlights the Sun Devils’ strong returning core — including quarterback Sam Leavitt, breakout wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, and a defense loaded with experience and depth — as he explains why Arizona State football should be the preseason favorite. But not everyone agrees. How did Houston football land a shocking first-place vote? Why is BYU still hanging in the top six? And what should we make of other contenders like Kansas State, Texas Tech, and Baylor getting preseason hype? We analyze each team’s placement, debate which teams are overrated or underrated, and examine the growing Big 12 football rivalries that could define the 2024 season. With Kenny Dillingham at the helm, can ASU rise above the noise and prove the doubters wrong? Tune in for in-depth analysis, expert insight, and a passionate defense of Arizona State’s place atop the Big 12.

Sun Devils Shock Big 12: Underdogs to Champions... and Back Again? Despite being the reigning Big 12 champions and returning the second-most production in the country, Arizona State football is being completely overlooked heading into 2025, and host Richie Bradshaw has something to say about it. In this fiery episode of Locked On Sun Devils, Bradshaw dives into why the national media, sportsbooks, and analysts are once again disrespecting the Sun Devils. He highlights the leadership of Sam Leavitt, one of the top quarterbacks in the conference, and the return of playmakers like Jordyn Tyson, breaking down how ASU's offensive core is more dangerous than people realize. On defense, Bradshaw details the underrated unit that helped carry the team to last year’s title run — and why that same group is being ignored in preseason projections. With favorable matchups, elite returning talent, and a wide-open conference, ASU could realistically be favored in every game on its schedule. So why are the Sun Devils behind teams like Utah, Kansas State, and Texas Tech in the eyes of Vegas and voters? Bradshaw makes the case that Arizona State isn’t just back — they never left. And if you’re not buying ASU now, you’re going to regret it later. Tune in for a no-holds-barred breakdown of why ASU could be on the path to a College Football Playoff berth and back-to-back Big 12 titles.
