Locked On Wolves - Daily Podcast On The Minnesota Timberwolves

Last season, the Minnesota Timberwolves were a top-10 offense by any metric. This year, they've been a bottom-five offense for long stretches and have been solidly bottom-10 all season long. Plus, a look at the current Western Conference standings and play-in outlook, and a preview of Wolves-Nets.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into the weekend with a chance to make a run at avoiding the play-in tournament in the Western Conference. Instead, they'll need to fight to stay in the play-in and not fall out of the top 10 teams altogether. Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down a disheartening and inexcusable Wolves loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday in the context of Friday's deflating loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. What went wrong? Why did Karl-Anthony Towns only get three shot attempts?

The Minnesota Timberwolves found out that Naz Reid will be out a significant out of time with a broken wrist. Which Wolves players will receive more playing time in his absence? Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) debates the merits of more Taurean Prince playing time, as well as the possibility that Luka Garza and Nate Knight could play more. Also, a dark horse for more playing time. Also, Rudy Gobert and Chris Finch went off on the officiating after the loss to the Phoenix Suns, with Gobert suggesting that the NBA was conspiring against the Wolves. Is there truth to that claim? Lastly, a preview of the Timberwolves-Lakers matchup.
