"VYPE Locker Talk Radio" brings in the heavy hitters for this week as Todd and Matt bring in Magnolia baseball star Jordan Groshans, football coaches Brady Pennington and Steve Leisz, and Houston Chronicle sports writer Adam Coleman.
Jordan Groshans will be a lock-solid 1st round pick at next springs MLB amateur draft. The 6'4" power hitting shortstop recently competed at the Under Armor All-American games at Wrigley Field and Petco Field. Already a top MLB prospect Groshans discusses his recent decision to commit to the University of Kansas to play with his older brother Jaxx, an up and coming sophomore catcher.
Brady Pennington has brought the New Caney football field up from the ashes as last years team was the first in New Caney history to advance in the playoffs. Their bi-district championship brings a new attitude to the northeast side of Houston as Pennington has tremendous leadership in QB Jordan Cooper and super sophomore Dwight McGlothern.
Steve Leisz of Episcopal has the task of replacing two of the top prospects in the nation in last years tandem of Marvin Wilson (DT, Florida State) and Walker Little (OL, Stanford). The Knights will have a strong test in their first seasons scrimmage as they take on cross town rival St. Pius X.
Adam Coleman comes into the fourth segment to discuss the recent AP polls leaving out VYPE #1 ranked team Ridge Point and the latest in high school football news.
This podcast is brought to you by Texas Foot Surgeons and Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.
