When people live in a war zone – think of Syria, for example – they must plan their days with that reality in mind. To forget where they live, even for a moment, could prove disastrous for them or their family. One of the hardest things to believe for us, who live in middle America in the early decades of the twenty-first century, is that we live in a war zone. But that is what the Bible teaches. For us to forget where we are, even for a moment, could be disastrous.
