The Apostles were instructed to tarry at Jerusalem until they put on power from on high. They, like us, were living in very dangerous times. They, like us had one task, to prepare to receive God, the Holy Spirit. How did they do this? The same way we are to do it. By purifying our hearts.

We celebrated our final Paschal liturgy today. Russian people are not foolish. The example Fr. gives of "foolish Russian people" has to do with superstitions that are being revived in formerly pagan lands.
