Ever since we were kids, we've been encouraged by family members, peers, and mentors to "follow your passion." We would pick careers that made sense at the time: athletes, singers, dancers, artists, doctors, firefighters, and more. We'd be so excited to see how life would unfold once we get older. We used to dream big.
Although, now that we're full-fledged adults, "following your passion" doesn't seem so realistic. It seems to be illogical and impractical to do so. In fact, every day it becomes more of a pipe dream. But does that necessarily mean we should stop pursuing our passion? Should we give up on our dream?
