Today we continue our analysis of the sixth piece of the armour, which is also the third in the second set of the Armour of God. In this episode Rev. Richards gives focus to the first part of the metaphor "the sword of the Spirit". The Holy Spirit is the one who weilds the sword. So it requires of us to surrender to the instructions and leading of the Holy Spirit.

Our analysis begins with a look at the vehicle of the metaphor, so in this case we look at the sword. This is what Rev. K. A. Richards refer to as a three point metaphor. Today we review our examination of the fifth metaphor used of the armour of God in our text, "the helmet of salvation". The helmet protects our head, in the same way our salvation keep our minds and hearts by Christ Jesus. The hope of our salvation is our protection in this warfare. We don't back down from any giants because we know how this story began and how it ends. Yehovah through Jesus Christ has vanquish our enemy the devil and delivered us uniting with us in covenant and the day is coming when this my salvation will be manifested in a final display of that victory once and for all.

In warfare one of the things the attacking army will try to do is destroy the enemies line of communication. They may do this by destroying the communication devices or they may infiltrate the lines of communication sending their deceptive messages across. Each army has a command centre from which their communication is handled. This command centre would be heavily fortified and guarded. In the same way each soldier has a command centre that he must guard at all cost. The soldiers head is his command centre and it enables him to think and function in the battlefield and a soldiers ability to think and function on the battlefield is very critical to the army's success. The helmet provides the protection the soldiers command centre needs.  In this episode Rev. K. A.
