Today we're going to the "Sanitarium", which is an archaic word for basically "Insane Asylum".
Content Warning: the mental health facility isn't great, there's some abuse and experiments going on.
Durance is voiced by Dave B. Mitchell, who also is the narrator of this game.
Pallegina mes Rèi is voiced by Mela Lee.
They're both very good in these roles!
Our playlist of the greatest fantasy hits continues as we delve into some catacombs this week.
What's a fantasy adventure if not the chance to explore a ruined temple watched over by a ghost?
We meet a character named Maerwald, who comes with a bit of a Content Warning on him. He's got a fantasy thing going on that basically causes some form of Dissociative Identity Disorder. This is going to be a recurring sort of thing in Pillars. Not like every single ep, but it'll come up at least a few more times before the game is done.
This week we meet Eder (spelled Edér if you're not an ASCII imperialist, like I obviously am).
Also we meet problematic fave Durance.
There was a little bit of Microphone trouble with this episode, and my apologies about that, but I couldn't get it out of the recording after the fact in Audacity. Maybe you won't even notice it if you're not too picky or you're just using airpods or whatever.
Does the "spiritual successor" to the Baldur's Gate series pull it off?
Hek yeah it does.
