We know we should think positive, but sometimes it's easy to slip back into our negative thought patterns. We worry about life, work, that or that. We beat ourselves up for one thing or another. It can be a never ending cycle and before we know we’ve put our life on a completely different and unwanted path.
Focusing on the good, even in the worst of times is crucial. Anne Frank wrote, “I don’t think of all the misery but the beauty that still remains.”
A negative mindset can make us stagnant, it can cause us to feel hopeless, to give up on our dreams, to settle. Sometimes the lack of belief can also lead to self-sabotaging behaviors even in ways we might be unaware of, have you ever found yourself procrastinating, self-medicating, comfort eating and many more ways of “escaping?”
We aren’t always aware of our own self-sabotage, but it is possible to overcome all forms of self-defeating actions, people do it EVERY day.
Consistency is KEY, being deliberate in your actions and having the willingness to create a “Lone Doctrine” made of your own beliefs and values will put you on a path towards greater satisfaction and fulfillment.
