Day in and day out Matilda Prindle sat in the rear of her husband’s general store rocking and knitting as Abe waited on their customers. One morning Tonto, the Lone Ranger’s faithful Indian companion entered the little shop. Abe greeted him and Tonto learned that Abe’s wife was blind but could tell what a customer was like just by the sound of his voice. Abe went to get Tonto some sugar when an undesirable character entered the shop to buy some tobacco but learning Mrs Prindle was blind tried to leave the shop without paying. When Tonto tackled him he left the shop leaving his gun behind. But it wasn’t his gun it was the gun of the Prindle’s son.
