On December 7, 1993 passengers aboard a commuter train bound for Hicksville, NY found themselves trapped in a nightmare when a 35 year old man stood up and began firing on them in a cold, detached manner, muttering "I'm going to get you," as he went about his slaughter. When it was over, six people were dead and another nineteen lay wounded. The shooter, Colin Ferguson, had been restrained by survivors and was eventually indicted on 93 counts by a grand jury. As the weeks from that fateful day stretched into years, New York found itself in one of the most bizarre cases in its long history, and the East Coast watched in horrified fascination as the the accused attempted to represent himself while spinning tales of government orchestrated racism, brain implants, and murder plots involving the Jewish Defense League.
