The Order, also known as The Silent Brotherhood, was born from the members of two prominent American hate groups: The National Alliance and The Aryan Nations. From 1983 thru 1984 they would go on a spree of crimes ranging from targeted assasinations to bank robberies before everything went up in a flash of fire. In this episode we begin to examine the groups that led to its formation and the twisted ideologies that they embraced.

In 1984 a 21 year old Cuban-America man named Adolfo de Jesús Constanzo immigrated from Miami, Florida to Mexico City. At first it appeared that he was a simple card reader, divining people’s fortunes from a deck of Spanish cards and the toss of some shells. Claiming to be an adherent of the Santeria religion, Adolfo began to attract a devoted following, drawing the attention of powerful cartels who he was eager to share his true role with; that of a palero in Mayombe and a practitioner of its darkest arts.
