After decades of mindless kids programming on network television, there was a push for more educational TV in the early 1990s. The idea they claimed was to help children learn about recycling and the environment, but the real reason was more sinister. The goal was the create a generation of political and social activists through subversive propaganda, and that seems to have worked.
