I had an epiphany in 2018.  I realized that the things that motivated me as a youngish guy didn't really motivate me anymore.  Phonte made me realize that being WASHED isn't a bad thing.  As a matter of fact, being WASHED was a very liberating experience that allowed me to charge into the next phase of my life.  As a Black Dad embracing being WASHED was a key step in my growth.    

This is an episode from the first run in 2017.  We give a brief history of the IDW Transformers books up until that point.  I recommend starting with the "Last Stand of the Wreckers" miniseries if you want to get a sense of the tone of the other stories.  

For the unacquainted, you’ve crossed a very specific threshold when a Black person says, “You gotta chill”. It means you are 9 and a half toes across the line of no return. The only thing that can save you, is to cease all forward fuckminded motion and, in the words of our ancestors,

“Set down somewhere.”
