   As assistant sports editor and Villanova beat writer, he reported on a wide array of athletics - from high school volleyball, field hockey, track, and wrestling to college sports 
  Toohey built a reputation for thorough storytelling on community sports, frequently covering District 1 championships and Delco league matchups. 
  Known for his steady, insightful reporting and deep connection with local athletes and coaches, Toohey has left a lasting legacy in Delaware County sports journalism
