We went over the NFL’s slate for Week 9 after the Packers just dismantled the 49ers like we all expected. Not a huge payout this week, just 2500. We praised Justin Herbert, Drew Locke, and a few others ahead of their matchups. Answered a few fantasy football questions along the way including sitting AJ Brown? Huh?

The NBA has approved the 72-game schedule that will tip off on December 22nd, 2020. Adam Silver does it again as the best commissioner in professional sports. How does the weird layoff effect teams who didn’t make the bubble?

No punishments for Justin Turner after his stunt after the World Series. Rob Manfred sucks. In other baseball news, former Rays’ prospect Brandon Martin was indicted on three counts of first-degree murder…we dove in.

Joining the show was Owen from Dose of OJ, he had to hold up his end of the bet we placed before baseball started, which was if the White Sox made the playoffs, he had to chug some pulp free OJ…definitely better for the stream watchers.

We feel like we’ve been gone so long! Good to be back covering the things that only like five people care about.

News and Notes around the NFL while we preview the Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers game. So many injuries and so little reinforcements. Chase Daniel is the Detroit Lions’ backup quarterback and we had a good laugh about it.

The Arizona Coyotes have withdrwn their draft pick of Mitchell Miller, who admitted to bullying a person with disabilities. Ryan gives the details, and we quickly give our thoughts on the situation.

The Chicago White Sox have officially hired Tony La Russa…oh my goodness. The amount of backlash this franchise got is completely warranted, but I’m personally sticking up for Rick Hahn because I don’t think this is his move.

We previewed the Chicago Bears’ Week 8 matchup against Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints…it probably won’t be close. Give Riley Ridley a shot, man. Additionally, we complained some more because that’s what Bears fans do.

The OHL has cancelled checking…The league announced that they will not allow bodychecking or purposeful contact in their upcoming season to try and limit the spread of COVID19…

Week 8 picks and preview around the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys are going to get smacked. The Bengals should just trade Ross already because their weapons are plenty good enough. Once you hear how much this parlay wins, you’ll hate the Kansas City Chiefs.

Diving into the Chicago Bears’ offensive struggles after their 14-point loss to the LA Rams. Matt Nagy needs to give up play calling and the offensive line needs an overhaul. Realistically, how many years do Nagy and Ryan Pace have left in Chicago? Is Nick Foles a good fit for a team who can’t pass protect? Would Mitchell Trubisky be a better option considering the circumstances?

The Chicago White Sox have a list of priorities for the winter and we broke them down. Tony La Russa? Really? Call AJ Hinch and get it done. Is it worth it to compete for James McCann in the open market or would it be better to fill that void somewhere else? Ryan says we need to sign Colomé because of how solid he’s been over the last few seasons. Extending Lucas Giolito would be a bonus.

The LA Dodgers are World Series Champions thanks to a bonehead decision by Tampa Bay Rays’ manager Kevin Cash to pull Blake Snell. After the game, Justin Turner, who was pulled late in the game for COVID, was back out on the field celebrating with his team, who didn’t seem to care about the Coronavirus. We talked about all that and how messy it was and will be.

Previewing the Atlanta Falcons-Carolina Panthers game on Thursday Night Football. the dirty birds look better over the past few weeks. Ryan is picking ATL, I’ll take Carolina for the heck of it.

COVID has also hit the Big Ten. Wisconsin had an outbreak and had to cancel their upcoming game against Nebraska. We hate to say it, but we told you so.

We’re beging for a World Series Game 7 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays. One of us thinks that the Dodgers finish it off in six, while the other is still on the Rays’ wagon. Either way, this had been an entertaining series.

The Miami Dolphins are switching to Tua and Fitz is pissed…so are we. Trying to compare this situation to Joe Burrow is not valid. The Cowboys are a terrible football team, but McCarthy isn’t all to blame. LSU is banning OBJ for his cash handouts…just be smarter if you’re going to bless these kids with money. 

World Series talk revolved around the fact that the Dodgers lineup is so deep but the Rays have really great pitching that will win them games and possibly the series. However, we can stop making fun of Clayton Kershaw…for now.

Football was the next discussion, as the Titans won and are still playing victum after beating the Buffalo Bills, who should be worried about their defense because it’s been bad. We got into COVID19 talk again because one of us thinks that enough is enough in the football community. How many schedule changes, positive tests, and limbo acts will we have until they admit this was a bad idea? Le’Veon Bell is free to talk to teams and we both hope the Bears are at the front of the line. However, Josh had to stick up for David Montgomery because his slander will not be welcome here. Oh, and the Jets suck.

MLB Postseason: While the discussion was a bit confusing, the consensus still holds that the Rays are it in the AL but we still disagree after the Dodgers dismantled the Braves 15-3 in Game 3.
