Stacy is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of California, San Francisco, the author of the upcoming book "At Home in the City: Growing Old in Urban America" (coming out in January 2025) and has been published in publications such as the LA Times, USA Today and The Washington Post.
Her article in the LA Times titled "Opinion: I’ve lived into my 40s without ever owning a smartphone. Hopefully I’ll never have to" explores Stacy's decision to live without a smart phone in an ever more connected world and was the catalyst for this conversation.
