Remember that agonizing 12-game losing streak a couple of weeks ago?
Jim Monaghan was strongly suggesting that the Mets fire manager Carlos Mendoza, saying that he was in over his head and had lost the team (Jim might want to stick with coaching high school baseball and leave the MLB stuff to the big boys).
Fast forward to mid-May where the Mets have won 4 of their last 5 series and have a chance over the next 13 games to get themselves into Wild Card consideration.
Meanwhile, the Yankees look like world beaters one week and then can't get out of their own way the next.
And the Knicks...can't forget about them.
