I likely won't discuss politics that often on this podcast, which makes this first episode somewhat unusual. But given the upcoming election, I wanted to share my thoughts on Kamala Harris and why I'm supporting her for President. To me, Harris represents the kind of optimistic, pragmatic, get-shit-done progressivism that first drew me to the Bay Area seventeen years ago. I live two miles from her childhood home.

The world is an increasingly anxious place, which has led to a rightward shift in global politics. I understand the appeal of Donald Trump and others like him. But regardless of whether you're on the left or the right, I believe Harris is much better equipped to embody our shared American values and make thoughtful decisions on behalf of all of us.
