Felix is joined by cricket analyst Dan Weston, founder of Sports Analytics Advantage and currently working for Leicestershire CCC and Birmingham Phoenix to discuss what our respective sports could learn in their uses of data from one another. We discuss the evolution of evidence-based decision making, how data acceptance is harmed by misuse in the media and even how Dan had to help draft a team for a format of cricket that has never even been played yet!!

This week, Felix, Charlie, Adam and Sam start the first of a new 'mini-series' where we attempt to use video, anecdotes and of course, our PAREJO model to rebuild classic sides using modern players. This week, it was an attempt to recreate Arrigo Sacchi's legendary Milan side that won back to back European Cups at the end of the 1980s. Using a mixture of closeness in playing style, overall talent and physical build, we come to an XI that we feel best reflects how that side may look in the modern era

LGOP would like to thank Dean hugely for his time and willingness to talk openly about the highs and lows of running a Premier League football club
