This is what a "Loose Brick" looks like: when a family has to fight the machine just to let a child breathe. This isn’t just a school story; it’s a story about the power of saying "No" to a broken system.
Follow up: Her mom wanted this added on..."this child ended up EXCELLING b/c her birthday was later anyway and it gave her the extra time and confidence to access her intelligence. the mom said, in her IEP meetings they were blown away b/c her IQ was far beyond what they'd ever imagined" so who knows? the combo of holdback, keto diet and lotta staying present as the loose bricks rattled.
