It's finally time to talk about some of the games we've been playing for the last few weeks on the podcast, and there's a full crew here to do it.

Mick and Adam have played through Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and rather love it, but what's this we hear about a way it could have even been a 10/10 scoring game? Lyle meanwhile has been playing what we're feeling is the spiritual successor to the Danganronpa series in The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. Oh and a platformer that's also published by Kepler Interactive (same publisher as Clair Obscur) has dropped Bionic Bay seemingly out of nowhere. What gives?

In the news, oh a little game called The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered just shadow dropped. Yep, that was real, and it happened. Wow, right? Oh and then to counter-act it, or something, Sony just decided "Oh here's the Ghost of Yotei release date". What is going on?

It doesn't rain but it pours Nintendo news, because just before the podcast recording the Mario Kart World Direct aired, so that's a hot topic alright.

And speaking of Nintendo Switch 2, Adam recently got to go and preview the console, launch line-up, and some games that are coming a bit later like Donkey Kong Bananza. It's unlikely he didn't enjoy himself, but what of the mouse controls; what of the Mario-less-ness, what of everything?

Thankfully Mick is here to talk about Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree, which he's been waiting for, for what seems like a lifetime. He played and played it during the preview phase, so how does the final release build shape up? To bring us back down to the calm serene people we'd usually be, Lyle has reviewed Lushfoil Photography Sim, and for the most part enjoyed it, though it's not without fault.

In the fifth episode of our Loot Level Chat podcast, we're down to three people, but we've got lots to say still, as there's plenty to play, and loads happening.

We lean heavily on the news this week, with Mick and Steve talking Adam through the upcoming title update for Monster Hunter Wilds. There's loads coming, with new monsters, armours, and the meeting/gathering hub arriving imminently. It seems like the formula is repeating, but are the three happy with it?

Elsewhere in the news, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has gone gold, meaning it's coming on time, but what do the gang thing of the game so far, given they've not had a chance to play it. Lastly in news, Indiana Jones is coming to PS5, and it seems to have a special collector's edition, which is weird, right?

Mostly soulslikes are the games we've been playing, so we focus on The First Berserker: Khazan, which Adam and Mick are pretty much smitten with.

The podcast returns this week, but with less games to discuss since most of us have been heavily exploring one of the big titles that'd just been released.

The crew have been exploring Assassin's Creed Shadows, and most of them seem to think it's the best one in ages, though there is one dissenter in the group. Atomfall is out soon, and that's another game that the friends have been roaming around, pixel-hunting in. Various opinions on this one, too, given that some love it, some find bits of it great and other bits less great, but generally most of us seem to agree the accents are superb.
