JRR Tolkien was not only the prolific writer of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit series, he was a lifetime Catholic who also had the pleasure of leading CS Lewis to Jesus Christ.
The Tolkien Society, of which Tolkien himself was once president is celebrating his life with a series of essays including:

"Tolkien’s Dwarf-Women and the 'Feminine Lack,'" and "Destabilizing Cishetero Amatonormativity in the Works of Tolkien."
