Scripture text: Luke 6:1-5
Dispensationalists and New Covenant theologians agree that in Luke 5:33-39, Jesus is teaching about the New Covenant. But right after Luke records Jesus' teaching about the New Covenant, God sovereignly directs him to record for us Christ's own understanding of the Sabbath. And what Christ teaches us is NOT that the Sabbath requirement is ceased or superseded, but fully established in Him as Lord.
