In this week’s episode Ben and Ilan wonder why fans would pay big bucks to go to an NBA game just to see the refs take over the game. They discuss if refs have too much power and protection in the game and potential new reffing solutions for the future. Then, they end off the episode by talking about different rule changes they would and wouldn't like to see the league implement.

In this week’s episode, Ben and Ilan start by recapping the trade deadline, sharing some of their insights on their favourite trades and the most questionable deadline decisions. They also debate the James Harden effect for when a team ships him off and which team made the worse Harden trade, OKC or Houston. Finally, they debate if the NBA has a big market-small market problem and possible solutions to level the playing field for the small market franchises.

In this week's episode, Ben and Ilan start off by discussing the recent injuries to Lebron and Embiid and how that impacts the MVP race, as well as how Lamelo's season-ending injury impacts the rookie of the year award. Then, they look forward to Thursday's trade deadline and discuss which teams should be buyers and which teams should be sellers. Finally, Ben makes some rapid fire trade deadline predictions.

After our week-long hiatus, we’re back! Ben and Ilan start off the pod by talking about this year’s all-star festivities and some takeaways from the contests and games.
