Sl: Sredi zimskih praznikov je jezero Bled delovalo kot pravljično.
En: In the middle of the winter holidays, Bled Lake looked like a fairytale.

Sl: Sneg je pokrival pokrajino in odsevi božičnih lučk so se lesketali na gladini vode.
En: Snow covered the landscape, and the reflections of Christmas lights shimmered on the water's surface.

Sl: Matej in Nina sta s stiskom v srcu stala ob obali.
En: Matej and Nina stood at the shore with a tight feeling in their hearts.

Sl: Bila sta pred svojo veliko poroko, ki se bo zgodila točno na božično jutro.
En: They were about to have their big wedding, which would take place precisely on Christmas morning.

Sl: Matej je držal dlani trdno v svojih žepih.
En: Matej kept his hands firmly in his pockets.

Sl: Ob misli na izgubljen prstan mu je poskočil srčni utrip.
En: The thought of the lost ring made his heartbeat quicken.

Sl: "Nina," je nejevoljno začel.
En: "Nina," he started reluctantly.

Sl: "Moram ti nekaj povedati.
En: "I need to tell you something."

Sl: "Nina je zavzdihnila, medtem ko je pogledovala k cerkvenemu zvoniku na otoku, ki se je dvigal izpod snežne odeje.
En: Nina sighed while glancing at the church steeple on the island, rising from under the snowy blanket.

Sl: "Skupaj sta začela iskati, nizko sklonjena, s prsti prečkajoč zamrznjene grudice snega.
En: Together, they began searching, bent low, fingers crossing over the frozen clumps of snow.

Sl: Matej je obupoval, ko je sneg nenehno prekrival vse na novo.
En: Matej despaired as the snow continuously covered everything anew.

Sl: "Kaj, če ga ne najdeva?
En: "What if we don't find it?

Sl: Kaj bodo rekli naši gostje?
En: What will our guests say?"

Sl: "Matej!
