In this week’s Lost Fore Words Podcast we take a look at the Portugal Masters on the European Tour, whilst the new 2020/21 PGA Tour tees off in Napa, California for the Safeway Open. Both events will be low-scoring affairs and with the majority of the world’s best players opting for a week off before next week’s US Open, there could be some surprise names in contention. Tom and Jason give a few picks each in the Portugal Masters, but pick just one each for the Safeway Open in what appears to be a tough event to read.
Start/Portugal Masters 00:00 - 1:10:17
Safeway Open 1:10:18 - 1:47:27
Summary and Picks 1:47:27 till close
In this episode of the Lost Fore Words podcast, Tom caught up with 2-time PGA Tour winner, Kevin Streelman. Kevin had just wrapped us his week at the BMW Championship and although he didn’t quite make the field at East Lake, Kevin still had plenty to be proud of this year, including two runner-up finishes. From grinding away on the mini tours, to winning twice on the PGA TOUR and representing his country at the World Cup of Golf, it was great to hear about Kevin’s excellent career to date.
In this week's episode of the Lost Fore Words Podcast, Tom and Jason take a detailed look at the Andalucia Masters before discussing the 30-man Tour Championship field. Both discuss their thoughts on the format of the FedEx Cup Playoff Finale, and give a couple of picks despite not seeing it as much of a betting event this week. Also listen to the end for details on how you can win a set of Arccos Caddie Smart Sensors (worth £169.99) - UK Entrants Only.

This week Tom is joined by Ben Coley of Sporting Life who deputises for Jason. Ben and Tom break down the star-studded fields at both the UK Championship and the BMW Championship. It is crunch time on the PGA Tour in particular as 70 players will be whittled down to 30 ahead of next week’s Tour Championship at East Lake. Can Dustin Johnson keep up the impressive form he showed last week and put himself in prime position to win the $15m prize in Atlanta.
This week Jason and Tom look at the Wales Open on the European Tour and the first FedEx Cup Playoff event, the Northern Trust Open on the PGA Tour. Will Celtic Manor play any differently this week after Sam Horsfield won 18-under-par last week? On the other side of the pond the PGA Tour heads into the business-end of the season as the best in the game duke it out for a chance of winning $10m.
After a long week at the PGA Championship, Jason and Tom regroup to discuss the Celtic Challenge on the European Tour and the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour. How will those that played in the year's first major last week fare in these two events, and who will be looking for a big week to get themselves into the playoffs ahead of next week's Northern Trust Open?
The year's first major is upon us, and Tom and Jason were joined by Sporting Life's, Ben Coley to discuss the 2020 PGA Championship. Will the PGA Championship play differently with it being the first major of the year? What can we expect from TPC Harding Park after not seeing it on Tour since 2015? Did the WGC FedEx St. Jude have any bearing on selections this week? All of that and more is answered in our first major preview on the Lost Fore Words podcast.
In today’s podcast Tom caught up with Kyle Thompson as they took a trip down memory lane, looking at the highs and lows of Kyle’s golf career. Kyle sits just two behind the all-time wins record on the Korn Ferry Tour with 5 and that tally could have easily doubled as we will hear in the podcast. Kyle also talks about life after golf, working in insurance at global firm, Gallagher and why he’s not itching to get back on Tour any time soon. It was great to hear in such depth about an incredible career.
In this episode of the Lost Fore Words Podcast, Tom was joined by The Action Network’s Senior Golf Writer, Jason Sobel. We talk about Jason’s career covering the PGA Tour for ESPN and The Golf Channel, before making his move to The Action Network in 2018. As well as discussing some of Jason’s memorable moments as a reporter, we really get into Golf Betting as a whole, why he is loving his new role, and how he feels about the PGA Tour accepting betting as a product, after years of it being a taboo subject.
