Sl: Metelkova je vsa sijoča.
En: Metelkova is all aglow.

Sl: Pisane luči se odbijajo od starih zidov.
En: Colorful lights reflect off the old walls.

Sl: Skulpture iz kovine in lesa stojijo v snegu.
En: Sculptures of metal and wood stand in the snow.

Sl: Zima je, februar, a v zraku je duh Valentinovega.
En: It's winter, February, but the spirit of Valentine's is in the air.

Sl: Mateja hiti skozi množico.
En: Mateja hurries through the crowd.

Sl: Išče svojega izgubljenega robota – malega racaka.
En: She's looking for her lost robot—a little duckling.

Sl: Njena ljubezen do umetnosti in robotike se združi v njem.
En: Her love for art and robotics merges in him.

Sl: A zdaj ga ni več.
En: But now, he's gone.

Sl: Vsak proizvod njene domišljije bi lahko postal del umetnine.
En: Every product of her imagination could become part of an artwork.

Sl: Ob njej hodi Iztok.
En: Alongside her walks Iztok.

Sl: Radovedno se ozira naokrog.
En: He looks around curiously.

Sl: Mateja stisne ustnice.
En: Mateja presses her lips together.

Sl: Ni časa za šale, a mu ne zameri, saj ji je prijatelj in želi pomagati.
En: There's no time for jokes, but she doesn't hold it against him, as he’s a friend and wants to help.

Sl: "Petra je rekla, da je videla raco," reče Iztok.
En: "Petra said she saw the duck," says Iztok.

Sl: Petra, mestna izvajalka in znana po malce neresnih komentarjih.
En: Petra, a city performer known for somewhat unserious comments.

Sl: A trenutno je edina sled.
En: Yet she's the only lead for now.

Sl: Mateja se odloči slediti njenem nasvetu.
En: Mateja decides to follow her advice.

Sl: Kdo ve, kje bi racak lahko končal?
En: Who knows where the duckling might have ended up?

Sl: Petra stoji blizu velike kovinske konstrukcije, z rdečim klobukom in harmoniko.
En: Petra stands near a large metal structure, with a red hat and an accordion.

Sl: "Hej!
En: "Hey!"

Sl: " se zadere Mateja.
En: Mateja shouts.

Sl: Petra se zasuka, rahlo presenečena.
En: Petra turns, slightly surprised.

Sl: "Tvoja račka, pravzaprav," prične Petra, "je šla proti premikajočim se skulpturam tamle.
En: "Your duck, actually," Petra begins, "went towards the moving sculptures over there."

Sl: " Petra kaže s prstom proti bolj glasnemu delu Metelkove, kjer je množica še večja.
En: Petra points towards the louder part of Metelkova, where the crowd is even bigger.

Sl: Mateja in Iztok se prerivata skozi ljudi.
En: Mateja and Iztok push through the people.

Sl: Glasba doni, barve plešejo po obrazu snopov svetlobe.
En: Music booms, colors dance across faces in beams of light.

Sl: Kinetične skulpture se vrtijo in migljajo.
En: Kinetic sculptures spin and sway.

Sl: In tam, zmedeno in hkrati pogumno, Mateja zagleda račka!
En: And there, confused yet brave, Mateja spots the duckling!

Sl: Počasi, a odločno se muči čez sodobno umetnost.
En: Slowly but determinedly, it's struggling through contemporary art.

Sl: "Tam je!
En: "There it is!"

Sl: " zavpije.
En: she shouts.

Sl: Mateja steče, poganja jo mešanica strahu in veselja.
En: Mateja runs, driven by a mix of fear and joy.

Sl: Iztok ji sledi, smejoč se celotni situaciji.
En: Iztok follows, laughing at the whole situation.

Sl: Racak, kot da bi občutil njeno prisotnost, se usmerja proti njej.
En: The duckling, as if sensing her presence, directs itself towards her.

Sl: Nekdo iz množice ga skoraj pobere.
En: Someone in the crowd almost picks it up.

Sl: "Je to del razstave?
En: "Is this part of the exhibit?"

En: Mateja shouts, fast as lightning.

Sl: Spretno pograbi racaka tik preden izgine v jeziku neke instalacije.
En: Skillfully, she grabs the duckling just before it disappears into the depths of some installation.

Sl: V trenutku olajšanja ga drži v objemu.
En: In a moment of relief, she holds it in her embrace.

Sl: "Hvala bogu," si reče in se nasmehne.
En: "Thank goodness," she says to herself with a smile.

Sl: Iztok pristopi in gleda račka, ki se vrača k življenju z mečkanjem svojih malih, svetlih oči.
En: Iztok approaches, watching the duckling spring back to life with the twitching of its little, bright eyes.

Sl: Ko se vračata skozi Metelkovo, zdaj spet sproščena, se Mateji zazdi, da razume umetnost malo bolje.
En: As they return through Metelkova, now relaxed again, Mateja feels she understands art a bit better.

Sl: Njena račka je bila del nečesa večjega, nekaj, kar ni mogla nadzorovati.
En: Her duckling was part of something bigger, something she couldn't control.

Sl: Sprejme, da morda ni vedno mogoče predvideti vsega, in to je v redu.
En: She accepts that maybe it's not always possible to predict everything, and that's okay.

Sl: Medtem ko luči Metelkove tonejo v noč, Mateja objame racaka bližje k sebi.
En: While Metelkova's lights sink into the night, Mateja holds the duckling closer to her.
