Story Transcript:

Sl: Vid in Anja sta stala pred vhodom v Škocjanske jame.
En: Vid and Anja stood in front of the entrance to the Škocjanske Caves.

Sl: Bila je zima, in zrak je bil mrzel.
En: It was winter, and the air was cold.

Sl: Oba sta nosila debele jakne in kape.
En: Both wore thick jackets and hats.

Sl: Vodnik je začel pripovedovati o zgodovini jam.
En: The guide began recounting the history of the caves.

Sl: Vid je bil navdušen.
En: Vid was excited.

Sl: Oboževal je naravo in želel je posneti popolne fotografije za svojo spletno stran.
En: He loved nature and wanted to take perfect photographs for his website.

Sl: Anja je bila radovedna in si je želela, da bi ji Vid posvetil več pozornosti.
En: Anja was curious and wished Vid would pay more attention to her.

En: In the past, they had done a lot of exploring together.

En: As they walked deeper into the caves, the path was slippery.

En: Icy droplets hung from the ceiling, and the floor was wet.

Sl: Vodnik je opozoril skupino naj pazijo, a Vid je bil zaposlen s sledenjem svetlobi skozi fotoaparat.
En: The guide warned the group to be careful, but Vid was busy tracking the light through the camera.

Sl: "Samo trenutek," je dejal Vid, ko je zagledal manjši prehod.
En: "Just a moment," said Vid as he spotted a smaller passage.

Sl: "Tam naprej je nekaj posebnega.
En: "There's something special up ahead.

Sl: Anja, pridi z mano.
En: Anja, come with me."

Sl: "Anja se je obotavljala.
En: Anja hesitated.

Sl: "Vid, morda bi morali ostati s skupino.
En: "Vid, maybe we should stay with the group."

Sl: ""To bo hitro, obljubim," je rekel Vid s strastjo v očeh.
En: "This will be quick, I promise," said Vid with passion in his eyes.

Sl: In tako ga je Anja nerada sledila.
En: And so, Anja reluctantly followed him.

Sl: Popeljala sta se po ozkem hodniku, dokler nista prišla do čudovitega podzemnega slapu.
En: They ventured down a narrow corridor until they reached a magnificent underground waterfall.

Sl: Vid je bil prevzet nad lepoto.
En: Vid was captivated by the beauty.

Sl: Hotel je posneti slike, a nenadoma se je zavedel – bilo je temačno in pot nazaj ni bila očitna.
En: He wanted to take pictures, but suddenly he realized—it was dark, and the way back was not obvious.

Sl: "Vid!
En: "Vid!

En: His voice was sincere and full of regret.

En: Anja reached for Vid's hand.

Sl: "Pomembnejše je, da sva skupaj.
En: "What matters is that we're together.
