Lv: Uz Jūrmalas pludmali šovasar Jāņu vakarā satikušies trīs draugi — Aigars, Baiba un Didzis.
En: This summer's Midsummer's Eve, three friends—Aigars, Baiba, and Didzis—met on Jūrmala beach.

Lv: Pludmale ir pilna cilvēku.
En: The beach was full of people.

Lv: Ugunskurs mirgo, un gaisa piepildījuši ziedu vīriešu vainagi un cepetis uz grila.
En: A bonfire flickered, the air was filled with flower crowns and the scent of barbecue on the grill.

Lv: Jūra spīd saulē, rietot garās vasaras dienas laikā.
En: The sea shimmered in the sunlight as the long summer day began to wane.

Lv: "Vai esi redzējis manas kurpes?
En: "Have you seen my shoes?"

Lv: " Aigars jautā Didzim, skatoties apkārt satraukti.
En: Aigars asked Didzis, looking around anxiously.

Lv: Vakara gaitā, aizņemoties ar Baibu un smelties no viņu smiltīm, Aigars ir pazudis vienu kurpi.
En: Throughout the evening, while chatting with Baiba and digging in the sand, Aigars had lost one of his shoes.

En: "It seems we are in a comical situation," Baiba grinned, continuing to tease Aigars.

En: "Maybe the shoe decided to go on an adventure."

Lv: "Aigars noskaita un uzņemas iniciatīvu.
En: Aigars counted to himself and took the initiative.

Lv: "Mums jāsaukā cilvēki uz palīdzību.
En: "We should ask people for help.

Lv: Veidosim meklēšanas grupu!
En: Let's form a search party!"

Lv: "Baiba paceļ aci.
En: Baiba raised an eyebrow.

Lv: "Tiešām?
En: "Really?

Lv: Vai tā nav pārspīlētā?
En: Isn’t that a bit over the top?"

Lv: "Aigars, kurš vēlas izrādīties prātīgs un praktisks, sevī sola, ka atradīs kurpi un izdosies Baibu pārsteigt.
En: Aigars, determined to appear sensible and practical, promised himself he would find the shoe and impress Baiba.

Lv: Aigars pagriežas uz Baibu un Didzi.
En: Aigars turned to Baiba and Didzis.

Lv: "Ar smiekliem un prieku," viņš priecīgi paziņo.
En: "With laughter and joy," he announced happily.

Lv: Draugi kopā sēdās ap ugunskuru, ēda, dziedāja un baudīja Jāņus ar jauniem spēkiem.
En: The friends sat together around the bonfire, eating, singing, and enjoying Midsummer with renewed energy.

Lv: Aigars sapratis, ka dažkārt nedaudz vieglprātības ir tieši tas, kas nepieciešams, lai spētu patiesi izbaudīt dzīvi.
