Story Transcript:

Sl: Ko je začel padati večer, je na Jezero Bled legel skrivnosten meglen plašč.
En: As evening began to fall, a mysterious foggy cloak settled over Lake Bled.

Sl: Matej in Tanja sta stala na obali in strmela v meglo.
En: Matej and Tanja stood on the shore, staring into the mist.

Sl: »Ta megla je nenavadna,«
En: “This fog is unusual,

Sl: je dejala Tanja in stisnila Matejevo roko.
En: Tanja said, squeezing Matej's hand.

Sl: »Ja, pravijo, da prinaša starodavne zgodbe nazaj,
En: “Yes, they say it brings old stories back,

Sl: je odvrnil Matej in ji pomežiknil.
En: Matej replied, winking at her.

Sl: Pred davnimi časi so govorili o skritem zakladu na dnu jezera.
En: Long ago, there were tales of a hidden treasure at the bottom of the lake.

Sl: Ljudje v vasi so bili navdušeni in napeti.
En: The people in the village were excited and tense.

Sl: Tanja je šepnila
En: Tanja whispered

Sl: »Mislili so, da je vse to le legenda... vendar...«
En: “They thought it was just a legend... but...

Sl: »Kaj če je res?«
En: “What if it's true?

Sl: je prekinil Matej.
En: Matej interrupted.

Sl: Naslednji dan je vas brbotal z govoricami.
En: The next day, the village buzzed with rumors.

Sl: Starejši možje, ki so sedeli pred gostilno, so šepetali o zakladu.
En: The elderly men sitting in front of the tavern whispered about the treasure.

Sl: Mladina je radovedno pogledovala proti jezeru.
En: The youth glanced curiously towards the lake.

Sl: Matej in Tanja sta se odločila raziskati skrivnost.
En: Matej and Tanja decided to investigate the mystery.

Sl: Ko sta se s čolnom peljala po jezeru, sta čutila napetost v zraku.
En: As they rowed a boat across the lake, they felt tension in the air.

Sl: Megla je bila gosta in bela, kot mleko.
En: The fog was thick and white, like milk.

Sl: »Glej, tam!«
En: “Look, there!

Sl: je nenadoma vzkliknila Tanja.
En: Tanja suddenly exclaimed.

Sl: Nekaj svetlega je sijalo izpod gladine vode.
En: Something bright was shining from under the water's surface.

Sl: »To mora biti!«
En: “That has to be it!

Sl: Matej je skočil v vodo in potopil se.
En: Matej jumped into the water and dived.

Sl: Potem je prišel na površje z velikim starodavnim skrinjo.
En: He then emerged with a large ancient chest.

Sl: »Spoznam to! To je zaklad!«
En: “I recognize this! It's the treasure!

Sl: je veselo zaklical.
En: he shouted joyfully.

Sl: Nazaj v vas so ju pričakali z navdušenjem.
En: Back in the village, they were greeted with excitement.

Sl: »Res je, legenda je resnična,
En: “It's true, the legend is real,

Sl: so govorili ljudje.
En: the people said.

Sl: A ko so odprli skrinjo, so našli le staro knjigo.
En: But when they opened the chest, they found only an old book.

Sl: Bila je debela, s starinsko preobleko.
En: It was thick, with an antique cover.

Sl: »Kaj pa zdaj?
En: “What now?

Sl: je vprašala Tanja.
En: Tanja asked.

Sl: V knjigi so bile zgodbe.
En: The book contained stories.

Sl: Zgodbe o preteklosti, o ljudeh, ki so živeli ob jezeru.
En: Stories of the past, about people who lived by the lake.

Sl: »To je pravi zaklad,
En: “This is the real treasure,

Sl: je dejal starec iz množice.
En: said an old man from the crowd.

Sl: »Zgodbe naših prednikov.
En: “The stories of our ancestors.

Sl: Vsi v vasi so se zbrali in ves večer poslušali zgodbe iz knjige.
En: Everyone in the village gathered and listened to the stories from the book all evening.

Sl: Razlog za veselje je bil velik.
En: The reason for joy was immense.

Sl: Vas je postala še bolj povezana.
En: The village became even more connected.

Sl: In megla? Od tedaj je bila za vas le še znanilec novih, neodkritih zgodb.
En: And the fog? From then on, it was merely a herald of new, undiscovered stories for the village.

Sl: Matej in Tanja sta opazovala jezero in vedela, da sta postala del nečesa večjega.
En: Matej and Tanja watched the lake and knew they had become part of something greater.

Sl: Zaklad je bil najden.
En: The treasure had been found.

Sl: Toda pravi zaklad je bilo znanje in povezanost, ki jo je prinesel.
En: But the true treasure was the knowledge and connection it brought.

Sl: Konec zgodbe, toda začetek novih zgodb.
En: The end of the story, but the beginning of new stories.
