This episode is in loving memory of my husband Reverend Curtis L. Robinson, Sr who went home to be with the Lord on September 7, 2022 after a breif battle with metastatic lung cancer.
To the man who was patient with me, who saw me in all of my weakness and imperfections and loved me selfessly anyway. The man that pushed me to accomplish each of my dreams and that was my biggest cheerleader. I am the woman I am today, in large because of you. It's my joy to continue stewarding all that we built together.
Jesus said to his disciples: “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
Curtis was a great man because he loved his Lord Christ with all his heart and mind and strength. He was great because he stood upright with integrity and a desire for excellence. He was great because he cared for and served the needs of others.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: if so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore, we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (for we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:1-8
* Refresh, Replenish, Refocus, Renew
To support my health and wellbeing, allow time for grieving, and carry out my personal life obligations, I have decided to take time away from social media and ministry responsibilities to refresh and be renewed in Christ Jesus. I DECLARE supernatural breakthroughts, healing, an restoration are coming my way. I know that every setback is a set up for a comback.
In Scripture, we read of several occasions when Jesus went up the mountain to pray and spend time with His Father. Not only did He do this for His own personal care and enrichment, He did this to be an example for you and me. Right after the beheading of John the Baptist, we read of how Jesus invited His disciples to join Him to come away and rest with Him in Mark 6:30-32, “Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. And He said to them, ‘Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.’ For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So, they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves.” Following this precious time of rest, Jesus performed one of His greatest miracles known as “The Feeding of the Five Thousand.” The disciples participated in ministering to the people alongside Him.
If we could see our times of rest and refreshing as a time of preparation for what He has planned next, we would not hesitate to make time to rest in His presence as the Holy Spirit directs us.
As I enter this time of rest, please pray that I will be strengthened, encouraged, and equipped for every good work during this next season of my life. God’s abundant blessings to you, your family, and the body of believers to which I am called to serve.
“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done … ”,
It was my joy to be your wife and your best friend, and it continues to be my joy to honor you. I will see you in that “Great Gettin' up Morning.”
