TRIGGER WARNING: IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS MENTAL HEALTH, SUICIDE AND NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCES
Welcome to another episode of Loud It Up. In this episode, I am joined by Jamila where we loud up our experiences with mental health as well as talking in depth about her near death experience and what it taught her.
Loud It Up is an unapologetic, unfiltered podcast which facilitates conversations with underrepresented women who are all about being unapologetically themselves, living loudly and proudly within all aspects of our identity.
Follow Jamila's informative instagram page to keep up with how she is living with an arteriovenous malformation (AVM) (https://www.instagram.com/ab.nvrmal/) as well as her personal page (https://www.instagram.com/jxmilv/).
An arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is an abnormal tangle of blood vessels connecting arteries and veins, which disrupts normal blood flow and oxygen circulation. An AVM can cause hemorrhaging (bleeding) both into the brain and around the brain, seizures, headaches and neurological problems such as paralysis or loss of speech, memory or vision. AVMs that bleed can lead to serious neurological problems and sometimes death. For more information please visit the NHS website or speak to your doctor!
