This week on Loud and Local I announced the Himsa reunion show! Bam! Also, I featured The Sun Giants as Loud and Local Band of the week, debuted new music by Wild Throne and jammed an old song by Gruntruck (plus so much more!) Check it out!
The guys in Sweet Water estimated that this was their 16th interview on KISW alone! I was happy to have this legendary Seattle band in studio to chat about their upcoming show, and all the steps along the way.
On this week's show I had an awesome local band called Seattle's New Gods in studio to debut 2 brand new songs from an upcoming 7 inch single. I also jammed some songs by Wild Throne, He Whose Ox Is Gored, Black Breath and Dust Moth.
Congratulations to local punk band Success on getting their music video for "Believe In" premiered at the Sounders match today! That is huge! After starting with that song, I played some Rest, Repose, then went straight into the LnL Band of the Week - Slow Code. I also threw in some Hilltop Rats, Po Brothers and Guns of Nevada for good measure!
I started off the show this week with two old school tracks by The Gits and Ruckus to bring us back a few years. From there, I jammed a brand new song by The Devils of Loudun and then slowed things down a bit with A Province of Thay. Toward the end of the show, I announced the Good to Die Records 5th Anniversary Show at Neumo's and played the almighty SANDRIDER.
Kevin returns this week with a packed playlist that is on the heavier side of things. The show starts off with a few throwbacks - 90 lb Wuss, Akimbo and The Gits - then goes straight into the Loud and Local band of the Week - Stoned Evergreen Travelers. It gets heavier and heavier until your mind can't take much more...yknow, in a good way.
