Second Idol lead Kate Olivia joins us to explore queer representation in the music industry, the band's debut single, and Kate's cat Louis. 

Laura and Elizabeth compare the kinds of queer representation in texts from our childhoods against the strides made in today's media. Elizabeth loves on the ace and gay rep in the Percy Jackson series, while Laura hypes up Sex Education for the ways in which it fills the gap on LGBTQ+ sex ed. There is unanimous agreement that we need more bi men across media and literature.

This week Elizabeth and Laura chatted all things queer representation and coming out at different stages in your youth.

They discuss what it's like to come out when you don't have all the language or education about queer relationships and how queer identities are gatekept due to biphobia or lack of experience.

Elizabeth sat down with old high school friend Sam Kariotis, who has since made headway as an artist in Melbourne. He discusses his process, style, and how queerness relates to his work.

This week on the show we explored an array of new and nostalgic queer music. Laura chatted to queer Brisbane indie rocker Hope D about her new EP "Cash Only". Hope opened up about coming out at a conservative school, her exploration of addiction in feature song "Addict", and what it's been like to make music under COVID. 

Meanwhile, Elizabeth sat down with LA-based bedroom pop artist Claud to discuss all things "Super Monster" - their fresh new album. 

We also covered what's been happening in LGBT+ news and ended the show with Froth or Not, a conversation which spanned cleaning out pet cages all the way up to the Facebook news ban.
