Today is a special one lasses because I am lounging with the legend that is Amy Martin! Amy is someone I have been inspired by for a few years now. She is just brilliant to watch and listen to and has oodles of experience in working on social media, confidence building, make-up, you name it Amy has probably done it. I am honoured to have Amy as part of my team and to think since I came across one of her videos as she sat applying make-up in her 'make-up shed' to her now being instrumental in the Northern Lass Lounge's growth strategy...it often makes me pinch myself. 

Myself and Amy have chatted a few times about the link between successful women who choose to go down an entrepreneurial path and having an ADHD or neurodiverse way of thinking, something that crops up in the lounge all of the time. So today we decided to chat all about this subject and how we have felt at times with our ever fleeting brains.

Today I am lounging with Melissa Middleton or Mother Mel as she is now known in the lounge. From the first day I rocked up to a business start-up support training in Newcastle where Mel was hosting, I've never looked back. My relationship with Mel and what she has done to support me has been key in all the decisions I have made which have lead to many successes. Mel is my business advisor or simply 'coach' as she likes to be referred to as and I just cant really put into words how much I owe Mel for her expertise, knowledge and total honesty with some of the crazy ideas I have had. I mean, who else comes back with 'DO IT' when you ask a question like 'Here Mel, I think I might write a children's book about mushrooms'. This is a belta episode lasses, expect crazy, expect parrots and of course good honest craic.

What is our monthly gobshite award? - Well we like to give back to our amazing members in a way that helps them to gain continuous business. Every month the most active members of the Norther Lass Lounge are given the opportunity to take over the group and promote what they do.

In this Mini episode Kylie touches on how these 'gobshite' days are creating more and more impact every time. The inspiration that is expressed from these lasses who are pushing out of their comfort zone in front of a live audience is just unbelievable. Last month was no exception. The amazing Lins Brown from 'L of a Bake' took the reins of the group and absolutely blew us away with her backstory and why she does what she does.

It made us all really think about why the Lounge is so powerful. Watching our members grow in confidence by using the community to develop their audience engagement is just superb and it truly reminds us of why we do what we do to keep this community alive.
