Testimonies:
"I was very privileged to be able to attend the Vigil at the Cathedral for Peace and Healing in the world organised by the LOV Verbum Dei ministry.
Falling on the weekend of the 24th and 25th of June this vigil encompassed the two beautiful feast days of the Sacred heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
As a convert I was initially very intrigued by the statues depicting the Sacred Heart and the immaculate heart of Mary.
I often wondered what message did they have for the church what relevance?
I was reminded of this question during the vigil.
I believe that it speaks to the centrality of the human heart which is so evident in our literature in our music how it seems to encompass the essence of our being.
One can see so clearly how many hearts are broken and wounded because of the absence of peace within our marriages within our families within our country.
Within our church is it because we have forgotten the Prince of Peace ignored Him trivialised Him?
So how beautiful it was to sit before Jesus in the blessed sacrament knowing that He is the peace between us knowing and trusting that he has come to heal the wounds of sin and division through the ebb and flow of the readings and prayer during the vigil I was able to enter more deeply into that understanding.
Peace, Healing all now seemed much more real, much more possible my faith was strengthened in the God who loves us so much that He took on our human heart.
I hope that in response to the Synod reports that the desire for more opportunities for Eucharistic adoration will become a reality in our parishes as I believe that this will bear much fruit ..fruit that will last .
Thank you LOV Verbum Dei for organising the vigil and l believe that no one left that vigil unchanged.
Certainly our waists may have seen a little change after the wonderful breakfast and hospitality offered so generously by the parish community so appreciated Thankyou."
"I am a beloved child of God who had the wonderful opportunity to spend the night in front of the Blessed Sacrament at the Cathedral. As I sat in the Lord's company, in silence, and allowed Him to speak to my heart through His presence, I felt so loved by Him. As my heart began to beat so fast, I felt the Lord embrace me and put His heart close to mine. Even though at times, I felt tired and sleepy, every second was worth it. I could see how the love of Jesus in the Eucharist kept us awake all night to pray for those who need prayer the most.
I can say for sure that the Lord was truly there, not only in the Eucharist but also in sharing his love through each person who was there interceding for others, through the people who organised the event so lovingly, through the prayers and through the little chats I got to have with some people during the breaks.
Experiencing the Lord in such a profound way at the vigil was beautiful. I could tell the love the organisers put into this event. I am very grateful to them and the Lord for sorting everything out for me, so I was able to participate.
Thank you, Lord!"
"I felt purity in silence, and it touched my heart deeply and carried wish for forgiveness. Prayers reminded me of my blessings, that I need to share with others. It showed my strength and the strength of the united humas and the strength of Love.
Prayers brought to me love and peacefulness and sense of belonging that I was longing for a long time."
"It was good to pray together through the night and a rare opportunity."
