Cs: Večerní Praha se třpytila zimním chladem, když kolem Vltavy tančily sněhové vločky.
En: Evening Prague glittered with winter chill as snowflakes danced around the Vltava.

Cs: Karlův most byl plný lidí, kteří se radovali a slavili příchod nového roku.
En: Charles Bridge was full of people who were rejoicing and celebrating the arrival of the new year.

Cs: Každý krok na mostě přinesl jiný příběh.
En: Every step on the bridge brought a different story.

Cs: Ladislav, muž srdcem romantik, kráčel podél zábradlí, a v kapse měl dopis.
En: Ladislav, a man romantic at heart, walked along the railing, with a letter in his pocket.

Cs: Chtěl tímto dopisem překlenout vzdálenost mezi ním a Annou, jeho snoubenkou žijící v Paříži.

Cs: Ladislav se podíval překvapeně.
En: Ladislav looked surprised.

Cs: "Co je to, Petro?"
En: "What is it, Petra?"

Cs: "Našla jsem ten dopis. Víš, co chci říct?" Její hlas se chvěl studeným vzduchem.
En: "I found the letter. Do you know what I want to say?" Her voice quivered in the cold air.

Cs: "Je to krásný dopis."
En: "It's a beautiful letter."

Cs: Ladislav, šokovaný, natáhl ruku.
En: Ladislav, shocked, reached out his hand.

Cs: "Proč jsi ho měla, Petro?"
En: "Why did you have it, Petra?"

Cs: Petra se zachvěla.
En: Petra shivered.

Cs: "Protože ti chci říct... abys byl šťastný.
En: "Because I want to tell you... to be happy.

Cs: Anna je pro tebe ta pravá."
En: Anna is the right one for you."

Cs: Pohled na Ladislava se jemně změnil.
En: The look on Ladislav's face gently changed.

Cs: Soucit, pochopení a vděčnost.
En: Compassion, understanding, and gratitude.

Cs: "Děkuji, Petro.
En: "Thank you, Petra.

Cs: Znamená to pro mě hodně."
