In this episode of Love Being You, I talk about how to deal with other people’s projections. More specifically, I break down what projection is, how it might be showing up in your life, and why it happens so often. You’ll learn how to deal with other people’s projections which, in turn, will enable you to stop projecting your feelings onto others.
“Simply put, projection is a defence mechanism people use to protect themselves from blame, criticism, guilt, or their own suffering by projecting it onto others.”
When people feel threatened or insecure, they try to defend themselves by projecting their pain, insecurities, or fears onto other people. It’s important to remember that this has nothing to do with you and everything to do with what’s going on inside of them.
I encourage you to become aware of and empathetic towards the projections happening in your life, as this is a huge step towards loving yourself. Remember, this is all about self-love and acceptance!
