Forensic science is always expanding and because of its complicated nature, scientists cannot get it right every time – no matter how hard they try, or how diligently they work. However, that isn’t to say there are no cases of intentional gross negligence and misconduct. Today, we look at a case that threatens the integrity of a prominent forensic scientist, and the ground-breaking case that helped cement that same scientist’s career.
