Praise the Lord!

Word for today, our topic is love for Jesus Christ.

We are reading Matthew 11:23-24

"And you Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgement than for you." Saints!

Capernaum means ' city of comfort' and this city is a city that Jesus had done so many miracles during His years of ministry on this planet earth; actually Capernaum could have been also called "the second home of Jesus Christ". This was a flourishing city in Galilee on the western shore of the sea Galilee, and Jesus performed many miracles.

Let me just mention a few that are recorded in the book of:-

Luke 4:31-35

Matthew 8:14-17 and

Mark 5:21-42.

Miracles and many signs and wonders were done in this city, but people did not TURN their hearts to God! People did not believe in Jesus Christ.

This only can mean that miracles will never bring us to the full knowledge of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The people in this city of Capernaum lived as if Jesus had never visited them; as if Jesus never came to their city. But He lived there! He performed many miracles in this particular city. I want us to be people who TURN their hearts to God.

In the book of 2Thessalonians 2:9-10

" the coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, sings, ant lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the LOVE OF THE TRUTH, that they might be saved"

May we be those who receive Jesus Christ, who are not only running or going for what He does, not just the shadow, but the substance. The Lord Himself. That we are are those HAVE received The Love of the TRUTH!

We are ready to be taught

We are ready to be corrected

We are ready to be impacted, by the love and by the Life Of God.
