I read a revision of one of my earliest poems, written when I was just getting to know Wes on the yearbook staff. Our love letters look at negative feelings, and the closing poem, which recently won 5th place in the Writer's Digest Rhyming Poem contest, goes all the way back to my delightful third-grade teacher who roller-skated with us after school.
