Word and Songs | Love Never Fails
with Sr Lines Salazar, fsp
Love bears all things, believes all things, it hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. Love is so powerful that it is able to withstand whatever threatens it. In these Covid-19 times, love in our families has been demonstrated and proven in so many varied and countless ways. We have felt the pain and the agony of having a member or members of our family suffer its onslaught, but with much courage and hope; and we who await their healing keep hope alive with our prayers, enduring the uncertainty by holding on to our faith. Even those of us who have lost loved ones in the pandemic are able still to trust in the Lord and believe that His love and mercy envelop our dear ones. In these Covid-19 times, many of our front liners have gone beyond their own fears to express their love in service to others; they feared for their own families and constantly battle the possibility of being infected by the virus, and yet they reported for work and served the many who suffered. In many families, the younger ones feel the responsibility of protecting their seniors from being infected and thus overcome their own fears as they run errands for the family. The list could go on and on. Fathers, mothers, family members, all had countless ways of attesting to love the bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
