1 John 3:16-18

“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.”  We are called to a different kind of death -  death to our selfish nature.  Death to the part of us who wants to be right, have our way, or seek our own good.

Can you think of a time that God asked you to show love to someone you didn’t particularly like or put someone else’s needs before your own (even though you didn’t want to)?
